The prototypical up-and-down weather pattern of late winter and spring has arrived! Bring on The Masters…48 days until Jack & Arnie hit the1st shot, for those of you keeping score at home!
While we are waiting on the azaleas, Magnolia Lane, green jackets and pimento cheese, we are still clearing out the Golf Shop…but not for long! Stop by soon and take advantage of the sale prices!
A trend becoming a hot topic on Golf Channel and "Golf Digest" is counter-balanced putters (heavier head & larger grip)…not sure what took them so long, since we have been promoting them for two seasons! Counter-balanced putters will be what the belly putter crowd will switch to when the USGA ban kicks into effect. In fact, Justin Rose won the US Open last year using a counter-balanced model and your golf factoid of the day? Angel Cabrera wielded a counter-balanced model to claim the US Open (’07) and Masters (’09).

As mentioned in the Annual Stockholder’s Meeting on Tuesday, the Golf & Green’s Committee has scheduled an informational meeting on Wednesday, April 2 to discuss the Rough Conversion Project and how the 2014 golf calendar will be adjusted. The meeting will be held in the men’s grill for all golfers, starting at 5:30.
Still waiting on some “20 Questions With” to roll in and no WCC logo pics to share from somewhere warmer than the ICT, so in the meantime let’s all daydream of teeing up our drivers somewhere in the Caribbean!
