| | Tuesday, April 23, 2024 | Dear Homeowners, Members and Guests,
We are extremely excited to inform you that for the first time ever San Lameer has now entered a men’s SKZN Handicap League Team. It will be challenging finding enough players but with the support from the regular members I am confident that we will fill a team and fly the San Lameer flag with great pride.
There are 6 teams playing 5 games a year, all played at different clubs Three teams will get three home games and two away games. Three teams will get two home games and three away games. (This is then reversed the next year.).
The team will consist of 8 players. Maximum handicap is 16 but this does not stop a player with a higher handicap playing (as long as he plays off the maximum of 16).
All league games will be played on a Sunday, in the morning a Betterball and in the afternoon a Singles.
Herewith the proposed dates:

| | Are you going longer and feeling good? | A while ago, those who didn’t want to play with a premium priced golf ball, had to play with a brick if they were looking for distance, or a golf ball that went nowhere, if they wanted a softer feel. That has changed, and each year we see more and moreimprovement in the combination of feel and distance in 2-pce golf balls. The Srixon Soft Feel has improved year after year and now you get tremendous ball speed and carry, along with a much softer feel. | | Srixon cores provide faster ball speeds with a softer compression. | | Covers have become thinner (without losing durability) and softer. A big, big plus on the shorter shots. | | | | Advanced construction techniques have allowed different areas of the Srixon core to react differently. That means lots of energy transfer on shots with long clubs, and a greater feel on the short shots. | | | | The Srixon SoftFeel today is a real marvel of technology: materials, design, and construction. But that matters much less than the impact it has on your enjoyment every time you make a golf shot. If you want advice on which golf ball will offer you which benefits, then please come and chat to us. | | | | Keeping another scorecard to tell another story | | | | A tip to improve your percentages Obviously the lie and shot you have from 40 metres in or less has a large impact on your average score from this range. Better players influence the chance of a tough greenside shot by making sure that, when planning their approach shot, they reduce the chances of missing the green “on the wrong side”. Shouldn’t the rest of us, who’re less accurate with our approach shots be doing that? | | | | If your average shots from 40 metres in is over 3, then set out to make an improvement. Everyone of you should be under 3. Most of the time it’s a chip, short-pitch or greenside bunker shot onto the green and 2 putts. Sometimes it’s 1 putt. Those are the three shots you need to master by the way: chip, short-pitch, greenside bunker. Gain the fundamentals, then become a master. | | | | This mail was sent to {{contact.contact_email}} by San Lameer Country Club and is provided as a service for the members and guests of San Lameer Country Club and has been supported and sponsored by advertisers in this email and our partner suppliers.
