Congratulations, Shazrai!
Imagine having your first hole-in-one when you are 10 years old? Well, that became a reality this week Sunday, 15th October, here at the Jewel of the North.
Shazrai Ediaz teed off at 1.15pm and aced the 12th hole! We would like to congratulate Shazrai and are confident that this is only the beginning of a successful golfing career.

 | | Chantelle Kriel joined us a few months ago and is now the first face you see as you enter The Jewel of the North! She is married to Lourens Kriel and has two beautiful daughters.
Chantelle and her family haven’t always lived in the Mother City. In fact, she moved down recently from Pretoria! Previously working for the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development, she has a knack for administration, which proves as a huge asset to the DGC.
We are so happy to have Chantelle on our staff...If you are ever feeling down and want to see a friendly face, stop at reception and Chantelle will brighten your day!

Alex comes home after his regular Saturday golf game and his wife, Amanda asks why he doesn't include John Gumby in the games anymore. Alex asks, 'Would you want to play with a guy who regularly cheats, swears outrageously over everything, lies about his score, and has nothing good to say about anyone else on the course?'
'Of course I wouldn't,' states Amanda. 'Well,' mutters Alex, 'neither does John Gumby.'

The consequences for mental health throughout adolescence are catastrophic. Get children - every child you know - into golf.
