Nothing in sport compares to making a pilgrimage to the Masters. While an April visit to Augusta National remains one of the toughest tickets in sports, the secondary market is alive and well. But tickets have been going up steadily and now the only chance to get tickets, is for you to know the right people.

When you make it to Augusta National, there are a few things you should make sure to cross off your Masters bucket list:

Take in Wednesday's Par-3 Contest.
You'll witness legends like Nicklaus and Player teeing it up on the second most beautiful short course in golf. The eighth and ninth holes are best for viewing, but arrive early because they fill up quickly. I will still argue that Turtle Hill is better, because if you go to Augusta without the crowds the Par 3 course looks fairly open and uninteresting, and certainly is not a great test of golf! By the way it’s only 9 holes!

• Berckmans Place. The Ultimate Hospitality Venue!
I have been in previous years and been lucky enough to have the special, special tickets to get into Berckmanns! They may be the most coveted VIP perk in golf.

Berckmans Place is a 90,000-square-foot, air-conditioned, multilevel, permanent structure situated adjacent to Augusta National's fifth fairway. Nearly invisible from the action but only steps away, it's decked out in Southern finery, with classic fronting white columns, azalea-framed paths and country club–interior furnishings. Entering the facility, you're greeted by a prominent Augusta National member. I was greeted by Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice!

My tip for the Masters champion this year is youngster, Bryson DeChambeau.
