Congratulations to Francesco Molinari, the “Champion Golfer of the Year”. While there is much to say about how some fell away; how Tiger threatened; and how Justin Rose wasn’t even about to make the cut when he stood on the 18th tee on Friday before finishing 2nd on Sunday; we’d like to draw your attention to something else. Italy’s first ever major championship winner does two things very, very well. First, he puts the ball in play time after time off the tee. From there the game becomes a lot easier. Then, when there’s a struggle or opportunity from 6 feet in, he sinks putt after putt after putt. Find a driver you can use effectively. Then develop a putting stroke, setup and alignment which allow you to become deadly from 6 feet in. You might not become the champion golfer, but you will get a lot more enjoyment and fulfilment from your game. Contact us. |
