The past few weeks have been great to be out at Glen View Club. The golf course has been in amazing shape and our events have been really well attended.

As we get into the heart of the golf season, I would like to keep everyone updated on our upcoming events and the impact that these events have on the golf course. I would also like to remind everyone that the golf course will open up for play starting at 7:00am on weekdays, and 6:30am on weekends.

The back nine will be available starting at 8:00am on weekdays, and 7:30am on weekends. These starting times are in place to allow Brian and his staff to prepare the golf course for play that day and create an enjoyable experience for members and guests who play the golf course.

Listed below is a preview for the next couple of weeks at Glen View Club and the impact to the golf course. I hope that this information is helpful, and if you have any questions, please email me or call the Pro Shop at 847-729-3611.

The new Titleist TS2/TS3 Drivers will be here Thursday, August 30th from 12 - 4pm.

The newest Titleist drivers began their rigorous validation process at the 118th U.S. Open® Championship. We chose to begin on the toughest stage in golf to ensure that these new drivers perform under the highest degree of pressure. And we're off to a fast start, with 17 golfers choosing to play a TS2 or TS3 driver right out of the gate.

Join us on August 30th from 12 - 4 pm, to see how these drivers will improve your game!

You want to hit better short shots. It sets up more opportunities for birdies or par saves.
Manufacturers talk about ‘Grinds’ in all the adverts for their Wedges now. How does the right Grind work for you?

Before we get to ‘Grind’, how many Wedges do you have covering the 8° from 46° to 54°? You should have two.
Unfortunately most golfers only have one. That’s your first area of short game equipment improvement.

This month, our focus is your score on the Par 3’s you play.
Let’s start that focus with some measurement.

How many under or over Par were you
on the Par 3’s in your last round?

Start to make that a statistic you keep.

Keep your average score per round.

Make this a target for improvement.

Simple Tip #1

Tee the golf ball to the correct height to encourage consistency.

As well as tracking your score on Par 3’s, pay close attention to where your misses are.
Do they reflect the same challenges you have on all approach shots?
Improving your performance on Par 3’s will probably increase your enjoyment throughout the round.
Think about improvement. If we can help,
