This little part of our newsletter is dedicated to a young lady who simply is doing her thing. This is Laney and she decided that she wanted to qualify for the US Kids World Championship at Pinehurst, North Carolina. We started working with her a while ago and tricked out her entire bag. Yes, she’s Team Titleist.

She set a goal and The Golf Station was proud to help her reach it. In August, she and her family will head to North Carolina to do her best and play her heart out! Good luck young lady! We’re rooting for you!

Speaking of our junior golfers, we are pleased to announce that our long-awaited Junior Academy is going to have it’s first run from June 20-22 from 9:00AM to Noon. We’re proud to also annouce that it’s going to be sponsored by Titleist and of course, by our home away from home, Hawks Creek Golf Club. The cost over the three days is $229.

Participants will get 9 hours of golf instruction from U.S. Kids Golf certified instructors, as well as fitness instruction from our TPI certified fitness instructor. Plus, each student receives a Titleist Club Sport Sack Pack and two sleeves of Titleist Velocity golf balls, a $50 value.

For more information or to sign up your favorite junior golfer, call 817.595.4653.

“Both these golfers see golf as a social pastime. It’s an opportunity to have an enjoyable outdoor hobby that they can enjoy with friends. They like to hit good shots but know they won’t have the time or inclination to commit to be as good they can be. But both could increase the number of good shots they hit quite easily if they looked for the easy, big wins open to most golfers.”

Your distance potential is determined to large extent by your clubhead speed and we
want to make sure you’re not losing out. We can do this using a combination of appropriate technique
adjustments and golf-specific fitness exercises.

Clubhead speed, as the name suggests, is the speed of the clubhead immediately before impact with the golf ball,
and it has a big impact on your potential distance.
