17th Hole – Pipeline Project
Unfortunately the time has finally arrived, and the 17th Hole will be closed for the Pipeline Project.
As you may be aware, we built tee boxes left of the 16th hole, so that we can still have a 18-hole golf course where the 17th hole will now play as a par 3. The hole will still be ranked as the 2nd hardest hole, but it will be played as a short par 3. The distance will range between 125m – 140m from the tees. The landing area will be very narrow, and the green will protected by bunkers in front of the green and the Enviromental Area behind the green.This project is planned to take 4 to 5 months.
We have worked with Handicap Network, and we will have a Temporary Slope Rating for the period that the 17th Hole is playing as a par 3. The system will change to a par 71 with a lower slope rating.

Meet Lex Foxcroft
Lex Foxcroft currently 7 years old and has recently joined Ebotse Links. Lex ended 11th at the 2017 US Kids' World Golf Championship in Maylasia for boys 7 and under (being only 6 years old) which is an unbelievable achievement.
During the course of the year he won the following SA Kids Challanges:
• Steyn City • Silverlakes
• Woodhill • Glenvista
• Huddle Park • Waterkloof
• Sun City • Ruimsig
Lex has become a member at Ebotse and has an official handicap of 11 from the junior tees. He was again invited to participate in the US Kids World Golf Championship in Maylasia for 2018 for boys 7 and under and finished 5th.
He is currently playing the European Championship at Longniddry Golf Club in the UK.
He is in the Boys 7 and under group, and after 2 rounds is currently in 3rd place with scores of 33 & 34. He is 3 shots behind the leader, with one more round to go.
