Swing, snap and share It's time to get snapping and capturing your golf adventures! If you've attended any of our events or played a round of golf, please share your stories and photos with us and you could be featured in our next newsletter. Norm's Appreciation Day We appreciate your hard work!
Norms Day was very well supported, with 52 attendees and a lovely pot luck lunch upstairs afterwards. Thank you to all the golfers who attended and for all the donations received from those that could not attend. Schools Cross Country Sponsored by Pack n Save A race to success What a great event this was! We had 400 runners, with many other helpers and supporters on the day. A big thank you to Pack n Save for sponsoring the day and I have a dream for their help too. Another shout-out to NorthGolf’s Vaughen Witten for setting up some awesome activities, such as the SNAG GOLF bouncy castle for the children to play with after the run. Take a look at it in the video below. Some snaps from the day The club volunteers and teachers who helped with the planning and execution were fantastic, so thank you to everyone involved. Looking forward to next year’s event! Northpower Conference Hold your audience
Many of you would have noticed our carpark was full on the 19th, and that was because we had over 300 of Northpowers finest upstairs for a presentation. It’s great to see the clubrooms being used for these events, so remember if you have any functions you would like to run you can always consider our venue. A big thank you goes to the Ladies Committee
Our fleet is in full force The ladies committee have kindly donated the funds necessary to get a new set of cart batteries for cart 4. As many of you know cart revenue is a major deal for us at Whangarei Golf Club, and getting back up to a full fleet will make a major difference. So, thank you ladies! From the course Working bees busy at work Massive congrats to the guys (Dean, Bruce Carlton Grant and Dirk) for working tirelessly to bring back the 9th tee. This was all achieved in around 5 hours work, which is phenomenal. The next Working bee is set for Tuesday, and any help would be greatly appreciated. Contact Dirk Oberholster or Ben Bowmar to let them know you can help. We will have a BBQ afterwards to say thank you. | Shooting between 85 & 100? | | Then you’ll get the most benefit from a fitting | | Too many golfers think that a fitting is for the very best players. In fact, if you’re shooting between 85 and 100, you’ll see a much bigger difference to your scorecard than anyone else if you play with fitted golf clubs. | | | | Clubs that fit your swing, size, athleticism, and your strength will not only minimise the impact of poor shots; they will make it easier to develop a better swing technique. | | | | Sure, if you’re shooting north of a hundred and missing the target with a wild slice or hook, then there are swing fundamentals to develop as a priority. | | Did you buy clubs off the rack? | If you didn’t have a fitting to find the clubs with the right specifications to make it easier to hit better golf shots, then come along and see us. Often it isn’t a matter of buying new clubs. We can change certain aspects of your existing clubs. | Contact us > | | |
