Sadly from Friday you won’t be able to get your golf fix for three weeks! The golf course will be completely closed. Let’s hope the time flies by and that the whole country takes it seriously and gets behind the President and his appeal so that we stop this virus in its tracks.
The Club will still be open until Thursday 18h00 so you can still get in a round of golf, or pop into the golf shop who are doing a clear-out sale before they close.
You can also use this opportunity to take out a book or two from our golf library, which just happens to be the biggest golf library in South Africa. We have plenty of instruction books to keep you practising your swing in your garden or in front of the mirror!
Zwartkop Catering also has some news - They are adapting to ensure that you remain safe and isolated over this time.
Pizza Night is still on this evening – and then, over the next three weeks they will extend it to apply to deliveries on the estate. Make sure you Whatsapp or call your orders through.
In addition the halfway house will be turned into a “grocery store” from Friday, where basic supplies including bread, milk, fresh fruit, veg and meat will be available – either for collection or delivery on the estate. They will also have a daily meal special which can be ordered in advance so you know that dinner is covered!

The Club has its employees and caddies’ interest at heart and we are doing everything possible to take care of them during this time.
The caddies in particular have had a torrid time recently, with the flooding and now COVID-19 which has limited their ability to work. The Club will be assisting the caddies financially to some extent, but if any members would like to make a donation towards them, it would be greatly appreciated. To do so, please make a deposit into the Club’s bank account with the reference: CADDIES - COVID19.
