NENY PGA Professionals
Finance Update

As we’ve communicated previously, Workday is the new Finance System that has replaced Oracle Fusion in May 2021. As of May 5th, the NENY PGA Section should have access back to begin processing financial tasks, including tournament prize purse distributions for Pro Classic #1 and #2 for our members who earned prize winnings.

I hope everyone in NENY is doing well. The PGA of America took a few years off from the compensation profile. I am pleased to announce the PGA Compensation Profile is now live. Submitting your compensation profile will allow PGA Career Services to better serve your fellow professionals and employers within the industry to increase compensation for all PGA Professionals. This profile is strictly confidential and owned by the PGA Professional.

Get Prepared, Sunday, June 27th

Foursomes will go quickly in this PGA Reach NENY Foundation-supported event. NENY PGA Professionals - Heidi DeBerry will be reaching out to each of you directly seeking donations for the auction after (foursomes, lesson packages, memberships, soft goods, etc.)! Last year, during COVID, the event raised in excess of $13,000, and we’re hoping for $20,000 this year! All proceeds will be utilized in Tom’s name through the PGA Reach NENY Foundation to fund the youth pillar and access to the game of golf - 2 of Tom’s biggest loves!

Stroke Play Championship
Tuesday-Wednesday, May 18th - 19th at CC of Troy

Starting Times: Begin at 9:15am both days (please submit any tee time requests before the deadline date that will attempt to be accommodated).
Format: 36-hole stroke play.
Eligibility: Class A PGA Members in Good Standing.
POY: Rolex POY
Deadline for Registration: Thurs, May 13th, prior to late fees.

NENY PGA HOPE Instruction Seminar

We were fortunate to have PGA Instructor Judy Alvarez teach our NENY PGA Professionals the proper way to teach golf to our veterans who attend NENY PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) programs. Thanks to Wolferts Roost CC for hosting us! We will have 3 HOPE chapters this year: Town of Colonie GC, New York Golf Park, and MV Golf & Events Center.

This is a flagship program of our PGA Reach NENY Foundation. It offers free instruction designed to use golf as a rehabilitative program to help veterans enhance their physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being.
