Update to PGA Complimentary Access/Tickets for 2021 U.S. Open
PGA of America recently received confirmation from the USGA that PGA Members will not have complimentary access to the 2021 U.S. Open. Additionally, due to limited capacity, complimentary tickets for juniors will not be offered this year.
This information can be found on the USGA website under 2021 U.S. Open Tickets: FAQs. PGA.org and will be updated accordingly.
Still Seeking NENY PGA Professionals for Ellis Medicine Pro-Am
Monday, June 21 at Saratoga National G.C.
About the Pro-Am:
The personal safety of our guests, staff, golfers, PGA Pros, and Saratoga National staff is our primary goal. The Ellis Medicine Foundation staff have worked closely with the Northeastern NY PGA and the management of Saratoga National to plan and present a safe, outdoor, enjoyable, and fun day to support the lifesaving work of Ellis Medicine.
With this, the Pro-Am will feature starting times ranging from 11 am-3 pm.
The Pro-Am Golf Tournament carries on the Ellis tradition of great golf for a great cause.
11:00 am Tee Times - with Pro Format: Five-person scramble. Professionals will be paired with a sponsor foursome of amateurs. Agenda: Lunch at Mulligans Shake prior and a dinner-to-go will be provided.
No entry fee, and all professionals will receive a $140 appearance fee for participation.

NENY PGA Junior Golf Association Members Advancing to PGA Junior Boys & Girls Championship
The final round of the Northeastern New York PGA Junior Boys & Girls Championship was hot and humid, with temperatures reaching the 90-degree mark at the Town of Colonie G.C. last weekend.
Clarkie Carrol of Wilton, NY, bettered his round one score by 10 shots and fired an incredible 8-under par 64 to put up a two-day total of 74-64-138 to take home the Overall Boy’s Championship title. Trey Smith of Greenville, NY, was able to hold on after leading at the conclusion of the first day and finished with 70-77-147 to finish runner up. Both boys earned the qualifying spots and will advance to the 45th PGA Boys Junior Championship that will be hosted at Kearney Hill Golf Links in Lexington, KY, on July 12-15.
Kennedy Swedick of Altamont won the Girls Overall Age Division handily with 73-75-148 but qualifying in the second spot was Nicole Criscone of Clifton Park, finishing with 81-78-159. The 45th PGA Girls Junior Championship will be held on July 27-30 at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky.
The Boys & Girls 8-12-Year-Old Division played nine holes using a Stableford points method for scoring. Big congratulations to Maria Glavin of Waterford for taking first place in the Girls 8-12-Year-Olds with 47 points and John Lagtinen of Farmington, CT earning 60 points total.

PGA HOPE Programs Underway
Both the Town of Colonie GC flagship PGA HOPE Program and New York Golf Park’s PGA HOPE program are underway and serving our local area veterans.
PGA HOPE (Helping Our Veterans Everywhere) is a free golf instruction that serves as the military pillar of our PGA REACH NENY Foundation, a rehabilitative program designed to introduce golf to veterans with disabilities to enhance their physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being.
In a few weeks, our 3rd Chapter of NENY PGA HOPE will begin at MV Sports & Golf Center in Little Falls, NY!
