The Weekday Club Championships will still be played on 1st and 2nd of July. This Club Champs will be a little bit different than others due to current regulations, and the order of events will be as follow:
• Registration will be downstairs in Baobab – players are requested to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your tee off at the registration area. Please do not gather in groups before or after your round.
• Players are requested to check in, collect all the necessary information with regards to the Championship and proceed to your respective tee box.
• The Scoring Office will be allocated outside the Golf Office – players are required to submit scorecards straight after their round. Only one scorecard will be allocated per fourball.
• The prize-giving and prize-giving dinner have unfortunately been cancelled.
• All players will receive vouchers for HWH for both days.
• A virtual prize-giving will be done after all the results have been confirmed.
• All prizes will be kept in the Golf Office and may be collected if and when a player is at the Club again.
We would kindly request that you please read the following rules for the Weekday Club Championships:
1. Format: Strokeplay (Nett prizes) and Individual Stableford – two rounds of 18 holes. The rules of this tournament will be in accordance to the Rules of Golf, approved by the R & A Rules Ltd and the local rules provided below:

| o Strokeplay: MEN – WHITE and LADIES – RED (both course) o Stableford: Any tee box, handicap must be adjusted accordingly. |
3. Please note Handicap Indexes as of Monday, the 28th of June will be used for the Club Championships. The full list will be available in the Golf Office.
4. Preferred Lies will be allowed – scorecard (30cm) length.
5. Pace of Play: Your position in the field is directly behind the fourball in front of you, not the fourball behind you. We kindly request that all players assist with the pace of play to make the round not only more enjoyable for you, but also the rest of the field. Our course marshal will be monitoring the pace of play and you may be penalised if you do fall behind and fail to make up the time:
| o 1st offence: verbal warning o 2nd offence: 1-stroke penalty o 3rd offence: 2-stroke penalty over and above the 1-stroke penalty o 4th offence: disqualification |
6. Use of carts will be allowed.
7. Distance measuring devices: Distance measuring devices will be allowed if it measures distance only. If a player uses a device that measures any additional factors that is not regarded as “public information”, this player will be disqualified.
8. Out of Bounds: A ball is out of bounds if it lies outside the boundary fence, marked by a solid white line/white stakes or within the green-keeping outbuildings, adjacent yard and within the compound on Bushwillow, in the car park or demarcated bricked and tarred areas around the Clubhouse.
9. Only blue staked trees to be regarded as immovable obstructions. No stake, no drop.
10. Power Lines: If a ball strikes an elevated power line or cable during the play of hole 4,12 & 13 on Firethorn and hole 9 on Bushwillow, the stroke must be cancelled and replayed as near as possible to the spot from which the original ball was played in accordance with Rule 8e-11. If the ball is not immediately recoverable, another ball may be substituted.
Note: the supporting structure of the power lines do not apply to this local rule, only the actual power lines. The supporting structure is to be treated as an immovable obstruction.
11. Ground under repair and pathways:
The following may be treated as GUR from which a ball may be lifted, cleaned and dropped without penalty within one club-length of and not nearer the hole than the NEAREST POINT OF RELIEF. Rule 14.3:
• Flowerbeds and shrub gardens (maintained with a clearly defined border – indicated with a blue stake).
• Re-sodded areas including drainage works where the grass has clearly not knitted.
• Areas marked by continuous or dotted white lines.
• Bricked area surrounding the Bushwillow workshop has a demarcated drop zone.
• Bunkers with a G.U.R. sign in the middle of them are out of play.
• Artificially surfaced pathways i.e., bricked pathways and not dirt/sand tracks.
• Tractor and vehicle treads in places other than dirt roads/sand tracks.
12. Procedure in the event of a tie:
Gross & Stableford count-outs: (other than those positions decided by way of play-off)
| 1. The best score over the second round, or 2. The best score over the even holes of the second round, or 3. The best combined score over the first four even holes of the second round; thereafter the best combined score over holes 5 to 9 of the second round. |

TIPS: This event will be played under strict tournament conditions:
• If you are uncertain regarding any rule or procedure, play two balls and report the matter to the tournament committee after play for a final decision.
• Check your hole-by-hole gross scores with your marker after play and submit scorecard with the scorer.

Due to the 4th round of BOS not being played this past weekend, all results were posted as draws. The next round is scheduled for Saturday, the 31st of July and hopefully by then, the regulations will be more relaxed for this great event to take place.
