Dear Member,

We welcome the decision to relax restrictions, which will allow members and visitors to enjoy a drink, post golf or with their favourite meal. The Club will continue to strictly manage the Covid-19 protocols, both on and off the course, and we ask that all members please assist by adhering to these rules:
The daily screening process must be followed by all.
Please remember to wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth.
Wash your hands and sanitise regularly.
Sanitisers will be available on all tee boxes.
Seating in halfway and the bar will be spaced accordingly and must be adhered to.
As for the flagstick, despite the scientific evidence that leaving the flagstick in hurts your chances of putts being holed, it’s probably best to leave the flagsticks untouched for the day.
The following amendments have been made as of this week:
AM & PM prize-giving will be back from this weekend.
Showers will also open from this weekend. As a precaution, we would like you to please bring your own towel and soap.
Rakes will be placed back into the bunkers, so please don’t forget to rake the bunkers with the rake that is provided, use your own rake, or just your foot or club.

We will keep you posted should there be any changes.

CGGU/Randpark Open Foursomes

The Foursomes will take place on Sunday, the 29th of August. It will be a 36-hole Foursomes Strokeplay tournament.

Open to amateur golfers who are members of a golf club affiliated to GolfRSA.
This event is limited to 44 pairings (88 players) on a first come first serve basis.
Players must enter in pairs, which can be male, female or a mixed pairing.
Firethorn morning field and afternoon field.
Morning field: 06h46 - 08h30 | Afternoon field: 11h22 - 12h50 off both tees.
Entry fee: R840-00 per team.

Any cancellations/withdrawals after the closing date will not be refunded. Players who have any of the Covid-19 symptoms on the morning before play or any time leading up to the event, are obligated to inform the Union and withdraw from the event. In this case, the entry fee will be refunded.
