Dear Member,
This year has certainly brought along a fair number of challenges! We are sure everyone is ready to get some much-needed rest, push the reset button for 2022, and get that handicap further down!
The Club’s constitution requires that members be notified of annual increases in subscriptions, playing fees, and capital development fees by no later than 31 December of each year.
The Committee is very cognisant that over the past two years, the Covid pandemic and the subsequent alert levels of lockdown, has not only had a significant detrimental financial impact for the Club, but has also impacted on each member’s personal finances.
Great care is being taken to ensure that the 2022 annual increases will allow the Club to achieve financial stability, whilst not placing any undue financial strain on member’s personal finances.
Initial annual increase indications are as follows:
1.Subscription and green fees will not exceed the current CPI of 5%
2.Unlimited playing fees will not exceed the current CPI of 5% plus 1%
3.CDF will be increased by not more than 10%, as per the 2011 Special General Meeting resolution.
The Finance Committee are conducting extensive modelling on the annual increases, factoring in the impact of possible future Covid alert lockdown levels in order to achieve the most viable and affordable increase for the Club and members alike.
The final annual increase will be presented to the General Committee for consideration and approval in February 2022. Annual fees will be billed to members towards the end of February 2022.
There is no doubt that we are facing a long road ahead of us, and although a lot of work has been done to get to this point with further uncertainty looming, it will be difficult for a while longer. We are confident that with the support of all members the Club will not only survive but prosper.
