| Junior CGGU Public School Swing - Killarney |
| Congratulations to Eric Ncube on his joint win in the Junior Central Gauteng Golf Union Public School Swing at Killarney Country Club played on Tuesday, 5 July 2022. Eric shot a 2-over round to tie 1st place in tough winter conditions. A shoutout also goes to Ethan Joseph for his tied-24th spot at the same event. |

| Congratulations to Pranay Kapur on his T3 place finish in the Junior Central Gauteng Golf Union Public School Swing at Bryanston Country Club played on Friday, 8 July 2022. Pranay shot a 1-over par round and led after 9 holes. Well done as well to Vuyisani Makama (T5) and Eric Ncube (16th). |

| Nomads National Order of Merit Coastal – St. Francis Links |
| Great golf by Vuyisani Makama (T25) and Mojalefa Nale (T36) in the Nomads National Order of Merit played at St. Francis Links over 54-holes (3 to 5 July 2022). The boys did themselves proud in a strong 75-player field and under tough and windy conditions, which it seems Lefa started to enjoy and got used to, as he improved on his scores every day. |
| Nomads SA Girls Championship 2022 Silver Division – Gary Player GC, Sun City |
| Well done to Stacey-Lee van Gent for her T13 position at the Nomads SA Girls Championship 2022 Silver Division, which was played over 54-holes at the Gary Player GC, Sun City. |
| Limpopo Open – Koro Creek |
Excellent going by 2023 PGA Diploma recruit Martin Papworth (T3) with a score of -3 and BSI Academy player Bernard Meyer (T5) at 2-under at the Limpopo Open played at Koro Creek GC over 54 holes.
Well done to Reece Mckain for his T28 and Keegan Rollinson finishing 41st. Keegan can be very proud of his closing two rounds of 72 and 74, with David Harrold T48 in the 112-strong player field. |
| Nomads National Order of Merit Inland – Modderfontein Golf Course |
| Well done to Grant Labuschagne for his tied 6th place finish in the Nomads National Order of Merit Inland leg played at Modderrfontein GC (11 to 12 July 2022) over 36 holes. Grant shot a +1 on the last day which was enough to give him tied-6. Good performances also by Eric Ncube who came in tied 20th and Mojalefa Maseng and Vuyisani Makama who both ended the tournament on tied 30th. |

| Interesting to see that the three youngest players in the Under 19 division in the Top 16 are our BSI boys of Eric Ncube, Vuyisani Makama and Grant Labuschagne. |

Continuing with Youth month in July and highlighting our Junior Academy students, let’s hear from one of our rising stars in our Academy, Mojalefa Maseng and our youngest student, Thomo Mokgatle, about their time at BSI.

BSI has really helped me to improve my golf. When I came to BSI, I was a handicap 6 and now I am a +1.
BSI is really a nice place to be in as everyone here is welcoming and kind. My coach is really good. He is committed on helping me reach my goals and helping me be the world’s best. My academic facilitator Lee is really helpful.
I have improved on my mental and physical game, as I make good decisions on course and my confidence has built up since I came to BSI.
I have built friendship bonds with my fellow students and as I said there are amazing people here in BSI that welcome you and motivate you to come to school every day. I love the fact that we have Friday medals and it’s a really fun and competitive day for all of us.

The facilities [at BSI] are very good, and it is a place that teaches you how to be your best self.
Through the coaches, I have improved my putting and irons and I believe in myself more, including my emotions on the course.
The academic facilitators help a lot with everything and are very supportive. My friends and BSI are very supportive of me. I would like to thank the staff of BSI for all they do.

| BSI Srixon Junior Golf Tour – KZNGU |
Result:
Congratulations to Kyle Archary, winner of the BSI Srixon Junior Tour Kwa-Zulu Natal Golf Union event played at Umhlali CC with a with a score of 74.
Our next leg of the BSI Srixon Junior Tour 2022 will be held on Sunday, 7 August 2022 at Glendower Golf Club in conjunction with the Ekurhuleni Golf Union.
We look forward to welcoming and hosting all the up-and-coming junior golfers to this event.
We can also confirm our North West Golf Union BSI Junior Tour date and venue. We are happy to announce that this leg of the tour will take place on Sunday, 18 September 2022 at Magaliespark Country Club.
